It's interesting that lawyers fare fairly well in this cartoon universe -- because the Bliss comic generally has an edge to it, as this example illustrates.
(Comic obtained here.)Lawyers aren't the only creatures that are treated fairly gently in this cartoon, however -- so are dogs. But if we start looking for equivalence here, we'll undermine entirely the point of this little essay.
